Earlier this year Helen and Simon Knox took the helm at Prenwood, bringing with them a wealth of experience and expertise.
Both degree-trained interior designers accredited by the British Institute of Interior Design and the Society of British Interior design, they have a developed a deep understanding of the sector through their roles as directors of interior design studio Lewis Knox.
We’ve worked closely with joinery firms for over a decade creating bespoke cabinetry for homes and commercial spaces. So when the opportunity arose to take on a well-respected business close to our studio it just felt like the perfect next step.
Their goals for Prenwood are straightforward, but ambitious. With a focus on design, craftsmanship, and individuality, they want the business to become the go-to for private clients, designers and developers who want quality handcrafted furniture.

Lewis Knox is an independent design studio that creates personal and highly imaginative interiors. Having grown up close by, Helen is particularly passionate about leading two successful businesses in the area. It’s a part of the world both Helen and Simon enjoy exploring – Helen as a keen walker, Simon trying his hand at the local golf courses having discovered a love for it through lockdown boredom, and together with their energetic five-year-old.
We love to be busy! And it’s a really exciting time as we start to put plans in place for Prenwood’s next chapter. There’s huge potential for the business and we’re looking forward to transforming more spaces with the help of the talented team.
