Meet The Team: Ethan

We've been designing and making bespoke cabinetry for more than 40 years. We're passionate about the traditional skills, craft and care that it takes to produce every project.

But for us that passion goes beyond our heritage, we want to make sure these skills continue to be learnt and used to create exceptional furniture for generations to come. That's why apprenticeships are so important to us, and we were delighted to welcome our latest apprentice Ethan to the team.

We sat down and asked him a few questions about how he's getting on at Prenwood:

Why did you decide to become a joiner?

There's lots of people in my family who are either joiners or are really good at DIY! I think that inspired me. I've spent 5 years learning the trade at college and now I'm working towards my Level 3 Craft carpentry and joinery qualification.

Why did you choose to join Prenwood?

I really liked the type of joinery work and cabinetry that the team make here. They have a good history of taking on apprentices and helping them to improve their skills.

What's your favourite part of the job at Prenwood?

I think it's seeing the products that I make on display and being used in a customer’s house. It gives you a real sense of satisfaction

What are your career goals?

I want to continue to get more knowledge and skills but also keep the passion I have for the trade. Since I've been working at Prenwood my knowledge has grown in just a short time and I think that's down to the fact every job is different and bespoke. So I'm looking forward to continuing to learn and grow here.
