At Prenwood, we believe design and function should be perfectly balanced. Our recent collaboration with SONA - specialists in luxury integrated home technology, gave us the opportunity to do just that in their stunning new Cheshire showroom.
Understanding their Vision
SONA’s mission to redefine modern living with intelligent, seamless technology required a space that reflected their forward-thinking ethos. We were tasked with crafting joinery that integrates advanced systems while preserving a high-end, architectural finish.
We worked closely with their team to understand how best to present their offerings – from immersive cinema systems to dynamic lighting and multi-room audio – in a setting that felt both luxurious and homely.
Joinery like this isn’t just furniture, it’s architecture. It frames the space, conceals the tech and brings that seamless finish only true craftsmanship can achieve.
Crafting the Interior
Bespoke Media Wall
Built to exacting standards to accommodate integrated AV equipment such as hidden speakers. Their need for concealed cabling and ventilation had to be accounted for in our design and fabrication. Every material and join line was carefully planned to align with SONA’s installations.
Wooden Wall Cladding
Reeded panels by Havwoods, finished in a rich dark oak stain veneer and applied throughout the showroom to bring warmth and textural depth to the interior. The cladding creates a consistent architectural language that balances contemporary clean lines with a tactile, inviting finish.
Illuminated Shelving
This provides a flexible platform for SONA to exhibit products and accessories. Each shelf was designed with concealed LED lighting, creating a soft ambient glow that draws attention to the items while enhancing the showroom’s overall atmosphere.
Finishing Details
Bronze details with bronze inlay to doors and Liquid Metal accents by CB Finishes bring layered sophistication throughout. The cabinetry is topped with double bullnose marble worktops from Tierra Mia for a touch of polish.
All components were made in our Cheshire workshop, finished by hand and installed on site with care by our joiners.
